Are you interested in working in a space that encourages hands-on learning and creativity? We’re hiring Makerspace Student Workers to help support and manage the ET 301 and ET 302 Makerspace, contributing directly to a collaborative and innovative environment for students.
Position Responsibilities:
- Supervising the Makerspace: Oversee the ET 301 and ET 302 spaces, ensuring safety and adherence to guidelines.
- Equipment Training: Provide training to students on proper usage of woodshop equipment and tools.
- Onboarding New Users: Welcome new Makerspace users, guide them through policies, and familiarize them with available resources.
- Equipment Management: Facilitate equipment check-in/check-out, inspect personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain an accurate inventory of all tools and supplies.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Ensure the Makerspace is clean, organized, and ready for use.
We’re looking for students who:
- Have an interest in hands-on learning and technology.
- Are responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Have a strong commitment to safety and organizational excellence.
- Are comfortable working with woodshop and makerspace equipment (training will be provided as needed).
