Hello Undergraduates!
UCI Spacecraft Thermal Management Systems (STMS) is recruiting new members for the Spring 2025 quarter. STMS is a student-led senior design project working to design, develop, and launch a variable emittance device (VED) for improved thermal control of spacecraft and small satellites. STMS is an interdisciplinary R&D project that offers the unique opportunity to get hands-on engineering experience while also conducting cutting-edge research.
We are collaborating with the UCI CubeSat and UCI High Heat Flux senior design projects, and we have presented our work to major aerospace companies like the Aerospace Corporation. Our alums have gone on to work at SpaceX, Lockheed Martin Space, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Ball Aerospace, Tyvak, etc., and many have pursued Ph.D. studies with the skills they learned at STMS.
