Dear Engineering Students,
Are you curious about how the chips that power our devices are made? The Irvine Hacker Fab is excited to announce a comprehensive six-part workshop series on Semiconductor Fabrication designed specifically for first, second, and third-year students from all engineering majors! NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
This event is a hybrid event, combining both theory and hands-on experience with 3 labs. Students will be able to see silicon wafers, personally experience how to dice them, and create microscale patterns, like these Pokemons. RSVP now at this link.
Who are we?
The Irvine Hacker Fab is an interdisciplinary team dedicated to creating open-source solutions for microchip fabrication. As part of a broader network that includes CMU, OSU, UW, and MIT, we aim to democratize semiconductor manufacturing by developing innovative, cost-effective tools and materials.
