The Digital Thread Lab (DTL) at UCI exists to further the digital transformation of engineering design and to help our students be proficient with and active in developing and maintaining the digital thread for engineering design.
What is the Digital Thread?
It is what connects all the elements of design processes across all the different disciplines and to all the latest and greatest digital tools. It enables ALL participants to access ALL the product lifecycle data, thus breaking down silos and addressing issues of systems complexity, scale, and efficiency.
